A driver has been taken to hospital after her car crashed into a churchyard in Brecon, destroying a section of the wall this morning.
It is understood that the woman was conscious and breathing as she sat waiting for an ambulance outside of St David’s Church.
The woman was taken to hospital from Llanfaes, however, it is not known what condition she is in.
A photo of the aftermath of the incident shows one of the car’s number plates stuck to the church gate and a gap in the brick wall.
Reverend Rich Wootten, the curate at the church, confirmed that the church is still open.
The vicar also offered prayers this evening for the woman’s recovery.
Dyfed-Powys Police has been approached for a comment.
