At 4.15pm on Friday, 16 June, Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist a young lady who had jumped from the top of a waterfall and cut her head.

The team quickly responded and worked alongside Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust paramedics and HART team members.

The casualty was immobilised in a vacuum mattress and loaded onto a stretcher and carried back to the road at Pontneddfechan.

A spokesperson for Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team said: "We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and thank the members of public who looked after her before we arrived on scene."
