On Wednesday, April 1, The Bracken Trust held their open day at the Kensington Chapel, Brecon.
The Bracken Trust supports people at every stage of their cancer journey. This includes patients, those waiting for a diagnosis, people who have recovered from cancer, as well as families, carers and people who have been bereaved.
The charity said it was lovely to welcome more than 60 people through the doors to have a cuppa and share cakes and conversation.

Lisa Griffiths, Bracken Trust CEO, said: “We had a very successful launch of our new Hub at the Kensington Chapel in Brecon. Our Brecon Hub will be starting on Wednesday, April 8, and the hub will be open every second and fourth Wednesday each month.
“Our nurse Marion and therapist Linda will be supporting cancer patients and their family members and carers.
“We want to thank the National Lottery for giving us the grant to get the hub up and running. The grant is for a two-year pilot, and we hope it will enable us to maintain having a hub in Brecon for the future.
“We met so many lovely people yesterday - thank you so much for coming out to support our new venture.”
She added: “Thank you also to Mayor Cllr Marie Matthews and MP David Chadwick for lending your support to us.”
