A temporary road is being opened in South Powys following a landslip, the local authority has announced.
The A4067 in Ynyswen has been closed to traffic this week due to a landslip which made the ground unstable.
Powys County Council (PCC) will tonight (Friday, February 10) open a temporary road to aid traffic flow around the affected area.
"We would like to thank the landowners and the other agencies that have worked with us to make this happen quickly," said Cllr Geraint Hopkins, Powys County Council's cabinet member for highways.
"This temporary road should minimise disruption to the local area and we would like to thank the public and local businesses for their co-operation."
He added: "I would also like to thank our workforce who have pulled out all the stops to make this happen quickly."
The temporary road is traffic light controlled and replaces the former diversion route.
Meanwhile, Dyfed Powys Police has confirmed that a young man has died following an RTC on the A470 near the Storey Arms in the Brecon Beacons.
The man, who is yet to be named, died on Friday morning (February 10) at around 6.40am after the crash involving two vehicles.
Officers are in the process of contacting next of kin.
