POWYS County Council's adoption service is staging a series of events for people interested in finding out more about adoption.

The first information event to kickstart National Adoption Week will be at Morrison's supermarket in Brecon on Monday, October 31 and staff will be on hand from 11am.

Further events, also starting at 11am, will be staged Newtown Indoor Market on Tuesday, November 1; Tesco, Llandrindod Wells on Wednesday, November 2 and at Tesco, Pontardawe on Friday, November 11.

Afternoon events are at Welshpool Library from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, November 7; Hay Town Council from 12noon to 2pm on Thursday, November 10; the Dyfi Leisure Centre from 12noon to 2pm on Wednesday, November 16 and at Ystradgynlais Library from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, November 21.
