A POLITICIAN has attacked an attempt by Wales' axed farming minister to try and gain personal information on him. Alun Davies was sacked from his cabinet post after it was revealed he had sought to find out how much five opposition AMs had received in EU farming subsidies. Mid and West Wales Liberal Democrat AM William Powell, of Talgarth, said he was 'disappointed' to discover Mr Davies had asked civil servants for the information on him as well as Welsh party leader, the Brecon and Radnorshire AM Kirsty Williams, opposition leader Andrew RT Davies his Conservative colleague Antoinette Sandbach and Plaid Cymru's Llyr Gryffudd.
