A Year 6 pupil at Llangynidr Primary School has raised £720 for Wales Air Ambulance after completing a month-long cycling challenge.

Finley Kivell cycled 10 kilometres every day throughout February, using rollers in his garage each morning after breakfast.

A keen cyclist, Finley went beyond his target by adding extra laps at the velodrome, bringing his total distance to 400 kilometres.

Speaking about his achievement, he said: “I wanted to do something really special for this charity. I love cycling and thought it would be a good way to raise as much money as I could.”

His determination has been praised by family, school friends and the local community, with the funds helping to support the vital work of the Wales Air Ambulance.
