The Mynydd Troed Artists are teaming up with Talgarth Walking Festival this Early May Bank Holiday weekend with art events surrounding the festival.

On Sunday, May 4, from 2pm to 6pm and on Monday, May 5, from 11am to 6pm open studios are to be held at Susan Milne’s studio and at Niel Bally’s studio where artists Niel Bally, Andy, Christopher Twigg and Beverley Thornley will be showing work.

There will also be an installation of work by Nicola Hopwood (stained glass), and work from Carolyn Blake (paintings) and Mark Harrell (paintings and drawings).

In collaboration with Talgarth Walking Festival that takes place this upcoming weekend, Mark Harrell will be leading a festival walk to all three spaces where art is being displayed.

Christopher Twigg of the Mynydd Troed Artists said: “We call ourselves Mynydd Troed Artists named after the iconic mountain behind the town and we are all concerned with the landscape of the Black Mountainsand a poetic response to it.

“The Open Studios are of course free to visit and all are welcome. We shall be there to talk about the work and enjoy the day. I hope you can join us!”
