ELEVEN churches across Brecon and Radnorshire were among those to take part in a grand 'Ringing of the Bells' to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
Last Friday, February 10 30 churches in and around the Brecon Beacons National Park and South Wales consecutively rang a peal of bells - recreating a 'ripple' of chimes heard 200 years ago when the canal was first opened.
