A BIG crowd turned out to support The Bracken Trust as they held their annual Summer Fair raising over £3,600 for the Cancer Support Centre in Llandrindod Wells.
The event was opened by Jayne Griffiths the Tesco’s Community Champion who told those present that to date this year she and Tesco’s had raised over £11,500 for Cancer Research charities in the area.
Musical entertainment was provided by the members of the Llandrindod Wells Town Silver Band while people took the opportunity to see around the Bracken Trust headquarters and grounds.
A band of volunteers served teas and scones to those that attended.
The chairman of the Trust Reg Cawthorne said that he was absolutely delighted with the day and that people had had the opportunity to see the Trust. The day was organised by the social committee led by their chairman Brenda Thomas.
