DYFED Powys Police are keeping an open mind into the sudden deaths of a mother and daughter in Builth Wells.

The bodies of Barbara Innes, who was 106, and her daughter Griselda Folkard, 69, were discovered at the town centre flat they shared at around 10am last Monday, April 8.

Carbon monoxide poisoning has been ruled out as the cause of death by Dyfed Powys Police who has also confirmed it is not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

As investigations continue into the deaths this week, a theory being considered by the police is a possible murder/suicide.

Floral tributes have since been left on the doorstep of the mother and daughter's home at 20A Market Street in the centre of the rural Breconshire town, with one heartfelt message, left with a bouquet of flowers, reading 'God bless both of you. Always remembered. Shane'.

While the story grabbed national attention last week, with a slew of newspapers reporting the possibility of the deaths being a murder and a suicide, friends and neighbours of Barbara and Griselda have rubbished those claims.
