POLICE searching for a missing man have discovered a body in a river.
Police said yesterday they were concerned for Malcolm Brookes who was last seen walking in Llanidloes town centre on Monday, August 19.
The 70-year-old lives in the town.
Dyfed-Powys Police said a man's body had been found in the river in Llanidloes. Formal identification has not yet taken place, however next of kin is aware of the development.A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Officers are now appealing for any information which could help them piece together the events leading up to his death. Malcolm was last seen walking in Llanidloes town centre on Monday, August 19, and his movements since then are not known."Anyone with information is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police."
