The Old Railway Line Garden Centre collected two awards at the prestigious Garden Retail Awards; held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

The family-run, independent garden centre picked up two of the top prizes - garden centre outlet of the year (mid-sized centre) and best planteria in the UK.

Garden centre owner Mark Cleary said: “Following the news that the Garden Centre Association named us as a ‘centre of excellence’ we were delighted to receive more good news at the Garden Retail Awards. We put a lot of time and effort into our plant area and to be named best planteria in the UK is an incredible achievement for us. Selling bedding plants from a greenhouse is where the business started 25 years ago and selling quality, value for money plants will always be an integral part of our business.

“To be shortlisted with Glendoick and Longacres garden centres was an achievement in itself but to go on to be selected as winner of the ‘garden centre outlet of the year’ was brilliant. We all work very hard to provide the best customer service possible to our customers and receiving accolades like these is certainly a bonus.”

The award-winning, independent, family-run garden centre was established in 1990 by owners, Mark and Christina Cleary.
