The Brecon Beacons Food Festival is returning to Brecon Market Hall this October, with more than 60 food and drink producers expected to take part.

The free-entry festival will be held on Saturday, October 3, from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Now in its 29th year, the event will bring together producers from across Wales, with visitors able to browse stalls selling everything from artisan cheeses and fresh bakes to local beers, ciders and spirits.

Welsh rugby legend Ken Owens will officially open this year's festival.

The interactive Welsh Tasting Table will see local food experts use ingredients from exhibitors at the festival to create bite-sized samples for visitors to try. People can pull up a chair and discover different Welsh flavours before heading to the stalls to buy the ingredients and products for themselves.

Local Welsh choirs will also perform throughout the day.

Thousands of people are expected to attend, with a Park & Ride service being provided from Brecon Cattle Market on Warren Road.

The service will run from 10am to 4pm, with visitors able to park at the cattle market and take a complimentary Williams Coaches shuttle into the town centre.

A small donation for parking will go towards local charity Accessibility Powys.

The festival is free to attend.
