Brecon High School were delighted to announce exceptional achievements in the November 2025 GCSE Numeracy examinations.

38.5% of students achieved A–A grades, 93% of students achieved A–C grades with an average points score of 48 (Equivalent to a Grade B).

A spokesperson for the school said: “These results reflect the hard work and determination of our students, supported by dedicated staff and families. Sitting this exam early is a remarkable accomplishment, and every student should feel proud of their success!”

The following students achieved incredible A*-A grades*: Arthen Banning, Mateusz Bochenek, Diana Butnaru, William Griffith, Elin Griffiths, Robin Irwin, Isla Johnson, Ethan Jones, Seren Jones, Soing Limbu, Maggie Paley, Tomos Saunders-Jones, Sofiia Solianyk, Aled Williams, Edwyn Bullough, Jacob Jones, and Tristan Thomas.

Headteacher MrR Edwards said "We are absolutely thrilled with these GCSE outcomes. The surge in top grades in Numeracy is a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the unwavering support of our staff and families."

Chair of Governors Rhiannon Evans was delighted with these outcomes. Rhiannon said: "I'm so pleased for our pupils! These are an excellent set of results which reflect the continuing hard work of our students and staff. Congratulations to all involved."

Robin Irwin added: "I am absolutely elated with the result!"

Sofiia Solianyk said " I am so pleased with my result, because I really wasn't expecting this!"Maggie Paley said "I am speechless! So happy!"
