A hotel on the outskirts of Brecon has been named the best wedding venue in Wales at a recent awards ceremony.
Peterstone Court won the prestigious accolade at the Welsh National Wedding Awards evening on Sunday, November 13.
After first winning the regional award for the best wedding venue in mid Wales, fending off competition from Craig Y Nos Castle, Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa and The Cliff Hotel & Spa, the hotel and spa, based in Llanhamlach, was announced as the winner of the national gong.
The Welsh National Wedding Awards have been recognising the best wedding businesses in Wales since 2011.
This year’s awards ceremony took place in Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.
The renowned annual event brings together Wales’ finest wedding suppliers as voted for by newlyweds from across country.
Hotel manager at Peterstone Court Bradley Tovey said: “After turbulent few years for all Welsh businesses, it will be a great reward to bring the recognition to Peterstone Court - a business that more local people should know about and enjoy time together at.
“We hold weddings, mid week lunch outings, evening celebratory dinners, or a relaxing evening meals out.
“With new management, and a new team in place - we have worked hard over the past couple of years to refine and deliver great Welsh hospitability, and a warm Welsh welcome to all guests.”
