Brecon actor Dylan Matthews is tipped to win an award at the Brecon Beacons Film Festival taking place this weekend.
The event will take place at The Muse in Glamorgan Street on Saturday May 17, from 4pm until 10pm.
Dylan stars in Black Swan’s short Control Room, a film about a musician obsessed with old school recording techniques, who finds himself in an all digital studio with evil machinery.
The festival will screen around 20 short films from all over the globe.
Festival director Nigel Evans told the Brecon & Radnor Express: “We’ve had about 65 entries from Republic Of Korea, the US, Spain, Australia and Romania. But nearly 30 films came from filmmakers here in Wales.”
The day will see Q&As with filmmakers, directors, writers and actors including Luke Walters, Anthony Bunko, Bethan Jenkins, Caerphilly’s Andrew Creak, North Walean Nate Reeves, Sarah Mallabar, Rupert Miles, Dylan Matthews and Sam Hartness, an 18-year-old filmmaker from Ledbury.
Entry is free to the festival and will be opened by new Mayor of Brecon, Cllr Marie Matthews.
