Residents, relatives and staff at The Grove Care Home in Ystradgynlais have raised more than £300 for the Wales Air Ambulance after hosting a successful coffee and cake morning.
The community fundraising event brought people together to enjoy homemade cakes, refreshments with all proceeds going to the charity.
The Wales Air Ambulance provides lifesaving emergency medical care across Wales, delivering rapid response treatment to people facing serious illness or injury, wherever they are needed.
The Grove Care Home is operated by Shaw healthcare on behalf of Powys County Council. Shaw is the largest employee-owned care provider in the UK.
Joe Jenkins, Service Manager at The Grover Care Home, said: “It was fantastic to welcome people from our local community to come together to support such an important cause. We’d like to thank everyone who donated, baked cakes or joined us on the day. Raising more than £300 for the Wales Air Ambulance is a wonderful achievement and we’re proud to be able to support the incredible work they do.”
