MS for Brecon and Radnorshire James Evans held a coffee morning at his office in Brecon last week to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event raised £172.25 from the sale of homemade cakes, and the money will go towards supporting people living with cancer.
Macmillan have already raised £1,032,365 from coffee mornings this year, which would fund 16 Macmillan nurses for an entire year.
Mr Evans said: “It was great to see people coming together to raise money for a very worthy cause and eat some cake at the same time!
“Macmillan do fantastic work and these funds are vital for them to carry on that work – I encourage everyone to get involved.”
