LLANDOVERY College has secured the services of specialist independent schools catering company Holroyd Howe to provide nutritionally balanced meals for its pupils.

Holroyd, which was named Independent School Caterer of the Year 2016, provides freshly prepared, nutritious food from locally sourced ingredients.

Llandovery College is the first Welsh school the company has catered for.

Llandovery College is the first Welsh school the company has catered for. Holroyd sales director Claire Long said the company’s aim is to provide menu options that are “exciting” for pupils. She said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working to be working with Llandovery College.

“This is our very first Welsh school and we look forward to serving our creative, fresh and nutritious menus to the pupils and staff at the College. It is always a pleasure being in partnership with a school that values the important part good food can play in helping pupils develop, learn, grow and enjoy their school experience and we look forward to working with all of the team at the College for many years to come.”

Llandovery College Warden, Guy Ayling said: “An outstanding catering provision is a vital component of the Llandovery educational experience as well as our long term plan to develop sustainability and responsible sourcing at the College – we are delighted that Holroyd Howe has joined us on our journey.”
