A community group in Breconshire has been recognised for the invaluable work that it does for the local area.

Happy Helpers were presented with a certificate recently to recognise the excellent work they have done and continue to do to support the community of Abercrave.

Ystradgynlais Town Council were recently asked to nominate one local volunteer organisation who were worthy of consideration for special recognition.  

Mr Reg Cawthorne, The High Sheriff of Powys, came down to the Abercrave Welfare Hall to thank Abercraf Happy Helpers for their incredible work in the community and particularly for their provision of meals and support in Abercrave during lockdown. 

Mr Cawthorne presented Rebecca Davies of Happy Helpers with a certificate to recognise their achievements.
