The Aberhonddu Angels WI enjoyed a fun and educational night at The Royal Welsh Museum in Brecon.

Amanda Warne, the curator of the museum, gave the Angels a talk on the early days of conscription, army animal mascots and the Victoria Crosses awarded during the Anglo-Zulu war.

The evening ended in the traditional WI way with tea and biscuits in the Officers’ Mess.

The Aberhonddu Angels WI meet at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month.
