A Llandrindod Wells driver has been banned from the roads after admitting drug-driving on the A470 in Powys.
Harvey Percival, 23, of The Rise, appeared before magistrates where he pleaded guilty to driving with a controlled drug above the specified limit, following a roadside investigation on the A470 at Llyswen on September 26 last year.
He was found to have 16 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood, above the legal limit. He also pleaded guilty to possession of 0.42g of cocaine.
A separate charge relating to benzoylecgonine, a cocaine breakdown product in his blood, was withdrawn by prosecutors.
Percival appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 14.
Magistrates fined Percival £800. He was also ordered to pay a £320 surcharge and £85 costs.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
