The final two winners of the Brecon rugby charity raffle have been announced as Toti Quarrell and Steve Thompson.

The victorious pair were delighted to scoop an Italian and French rugby jersey respectively, which represented Wales’ two final games in this year’s men’s Six Nations Championships.

Fundraisers Brian and Lorna Keylock have sold raffle tickets in Brecon town centre for every Wales match since the beginning of this year’s championships. The couple have raffled off an array of prizes including signed rugby jerseys and squad photos.

Brian and Lorna are pleased to announce that an incredible £3,993 has been raised for charity over Wales’ five matches. With a mixed bag of weather to contend with and a Friday kick-off for the Wales/France match, the total represents a successful campaign of fundraising for the charitable pair.

Brian said: “On behalf of the cause we would like to thank you all for your generosity - especially one lovely young lady for her donation.

“It will be the Rugby World Cup next year so it will soon be time to look ahead to that. Until then - stay safe and healthy.”

All funds raised from the raffle will go to Cancer Research Wales.
