AFTER securing £1,328 from the Postcode Community Trust to support the disabled bowling group in Llandrindod Wells, Disability Powys has been able to purchase adaptive equipment to ensure disabled individuals are able to participate in the group’s activities.

Radnorshire Indoor Bowling stadium offers support with coaches and equipment which includes specially adapted buggies and wheelchairs for use on the bowling surface, a ramp, walking sticks and bowls.

The session for disabled bowlers runs every Friday 10am – 12pm, it costs £3 for the session, and all equipment is provided free of charge.

There is a lounge area with a cafeteria where visitors may purchase light refreshments and snacks which all adds to the relaxed and friendly environment within the bowls stadium.
