A charity concert celebrating the music of Elvis Presley is set to take place in Crickhowell next month in support of people living with dementia.

Organised by Suzan and Mike Alderton of Living with Dementia Crickhowell, the event will be held at Clarence Hall on Saturday, May 16 following strong public demand. Titled Elvis – Always On My Mind, the evening will feature award-winning tribute act Darren “Graceland” Jones.

Mr Jones, known as the only Welsh Elvis tribute artist to have won the Porthcawl Elvis Festival multiple times, will perform a selection of the King’s greatest hits in what organisers describe as a night of “classic rock ’n’ roll energy”.

The local group behind the event has become well known for its work supporting people living with dementia and their families. In recent years, it has raised thousands of pounds for dementia charities as well as funding local support projects.

All profits from the concert will be donated to dementia-related causes, helping to sustain services and activities within the community.

Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 7:30pm. A bar will be provided by The Dragon Inn, Crickhowell.

Tickets cost £17 and are available directly from the organisers without a booking fee by emailing [email protected] or contacting Suzan on 07876 085769.
