The Lion Street Gallery in Hay-on-Wye will open its latest exhibition on Saturday, May 16, featuring new work by contemporary British artist Matthew Wood RCA.

Wood is a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, known for his distinctive paintings that combine strong composition with a refined sense of colour and atmosphere.

The exhibition, entitled Time Slip, opens in the week leading up to the Hay Festival and will run until Saturday, June 20.

Alongside the main display, the gallery is also showcasing new work by Penarth-based artist Sheridan Ward.

Her latest body of work continues to depict her interest in light and its affect on the environment.
