Rhayader and District Male Voice Choir entertained an audience of Llandrindod Carnival supporters recently.

The choir was supported by an array of talent from three local schools; Ysgol Trefonnen, Cefnllys and Ysgol Calon Cymru.

It was a rousing evening, on Saturday, March 4 with some powerful singing from the choir and the schools.

The audience had the pleasure of listening to an array of talented singers, a harpist, a pianist, and a cornetist.

The night was smoothed over by Phil Gayther, the new choir chairman, who performed admirable as compère.

The carnival committee said: “We were completely blown away by the support shown at our Saint David’s Day concert last night held at the Royal British Legion.

"We can’t thank everyone enough for attending and supporting our carnival fundraiser.

“A big thank you to Rhayader Male Voice Choir and our local performers- I think you’d all agree we have some amazing talent in the town!

“We were so lucky to have a number of local businesses and individuals who kindly donated some excellent raffle prizes last night. A big thank you to.”
