Cull ewes (425) averaged £99.35, with a strong demand across all types. The top price was £185.00 for Texel cross ewes from W R M Morris. Other highlights included Mules to £152.00 from C & L Bowen & Sons, hill-bred Welsh ewes to £146.00 from P J Samuel & Sons, and rams to £160.00 for a Texel ram from J P Breeze & Son.

Auctioneers said it was an “excellent trade” for all types of sheep, including leaner types being well competed over. Farmers are encouraged to book stock in on Wednesdays to help inform buyers of expected numbers.
