DYFED Powys Police are to visit every farm in Breconshire in a bid to halt a recent spate of agricultural thefts.
In the past two months, four quad biked have been stolen from farms in the county along with a sheep feeder trailer.
Dyfed Powys Police's neighbourhood police team says it will in response launch its farm watch scheme - a neighbourhood watch style crime prevention initiative for farms.
Sergeant Craig Morgan, of the Brecon neighbourhood police team, said: "We will visit every farm over the next month to sign them up to farm watch and give advice regarding securing their property and crime prevention."
Sgt Morgan said police will also be increasing patrols during the night with most of the thefts having occurred during the evening.
Meanwhile Dyfed Powys Police Commissioner Christopher Salmon is inviting people to take a quick online survey on the force's rural policing strategy. It can be found at the http://www.dyfed-powys.pcc.police">www.dyfed-powys.pcc.police website.
