FEWER new homes could be built in a Breconshire village over the coming years, a councillor claims. Councillor Philip Williams, who chairs Llanigon's community council, near Hay-on-Wye, fears fewer homes will be built in the village and nearby Felindre as they have been downgraded to 'small villages' in Powys County Council's draft local development plan. The council say the plan has yet to be finalised. "The allocation for houses has been put into the larger towns on the trunk roads and the rest of the community has been totally ignored," said Cllr Williams who has also raised complaints about the affordability and availability of housing in the area.
