THE organisers of the Porthcawl Elvis Festival and the Porthcawl Interceltic Festival are combining to put in a bid to take over the Brecon Jazz Festival.

Led by Peter Phillips and his team the 2011 Porthcawl festival attracted 30,000 people and Phillips' company, Xanadu, which also run Elvis festivals in Ireland and Benidorm along with the Irish comedy festival Tedfest and a number of music, food and sport events in Europe, America and Australia, has joined forces with Derek Smith, the organiser of the Porthcawl Interceltic Festival in a combined bid for the Jazz.
