LAST Saturday Pontfaen members travelled to the United Counties Showground in Carmarthen to compete in the Wales YFC field.
The fencing team, consisting of Gwilym Prothero, Frazer Thomas and Jamie Evans, were narrowly beaten into second place in the junior fencing competition.
In the first aid Competition Sian Healey was awarded first place for winning The Sir Lynn Thomas Memorial Shield and Crystal Bowl.
