A FORMER assistant head teacher of a Breconshire secondary school has been jailed for 16 months after admitting charges relating to indecent images of children.

Stuart Rees had been the assistant head teacher at Gwernyfed High School in Three Cocks near Brecon.

He had made available to view online a sick film showing a girl, aged between seven and nine, being sexually abused.

The 51-year-old of Beeches Park, Boughrood near Brecon has also admitted to possession of nearly 4,500 indecent images of children.

Today he was jailed for a total of 16 months at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court.
