An online fundraising page has been set up to help the family of Hollie Kerrell meet her funeral costs.

Police searching for the 28-year-old mum of three, from Knucklas, near Knighton, said yesterday they had found a body. Police have arrested a man on suspicion of her murder.

Hollie was last seen at her home in the Radnorshire village on Sunday.

Friend Molly Hawthorne, of Llandegley, said she has set up the page on the Just Giving website with the blessing of Hollie’s family.

An initial target of £200 was nearly reached within hours of the appeal being established and Molly, who had known Hollie since they were children, said the appeal is intended to help the family with the unexpected cost.

She said: "It is such an unexpected thing to happen, as far as I’m aware, there wouldn’t be anything in place for a funeral. The appeal is just to help the family out.

"It’s not necessarily intended to pay for the whole funeral but any little donations would be greatly appreciated."

Dyfed-Powys Police has said a 35-year-old man arrested on Wednesday, April 25 on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.
