A 30ft VIKING longship has been seen sailing across the waters of Llangors Lake.
The ship, complete with its square, stripy sail, hadn’t sailed from Scandinavia but instead arrived by road - on a trailer from Kent.
Its crew, from the early mediaeval re-enactor group Regia Anglorum, re-created an attack on the lake’s artificial island fortress, the Crannog.
Rather than an invading force they had been invited by Dr Adrian Humpage and Garnet Davies, members of the Discover Llangors and Bwlch community group, as a way of helping people learn more about the history of the lake and the Crannog.
