New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Angel Inn, a pub, bar or nightclub at High Street, Llanidloes, Powys was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 2.

And The Lantern, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Brickdale House, Wesley Street, Newtown, Powys was also given a score of five on November 30.
