A COMMUNITY project that saves old books destined for landfill and transforms then into unique journals, sketchbooks and diaries, has been recognised for its social entrepreneurism with a grant of over £6,500 from the Welsh Government.
The charity organisation L'Arche, which has been running in Brecon for over 20 years, helps to builds communities with adults with learning difficulties and led by Brecon director Jacqualyn Box, the group established the Rebound Books initiative in September 2010 at its small workshop at the community offices in Wheat Street.
