LAST Saturday saw a 19 strong Gwernyfed squad travel to Abergavenny for their last of three pre-season friendlies prior to the start of the league away to Tonyrefail.

Gwernyfed took to the field in style, playing some classic rugby against a Abergavenny 40 man squad and with three 20 minute halves to play, Abergavenny used all their players as a development in ready for their new season.
