A choir from the upper Swansea Valley held a concert in Ystradgynlais to raise money for an appeal to raise money to help refugees fleeing Ukraine.

On the evening of Friday May 20, a concert was held at Ystradgynlais Welfare Hall in order to raise money for the Ukraine appeal. The event was organised and performed by the local “Cor Y Gyrlais male choir”.

The evening was brilliantly compered by the broadcaster Roy Noble OBE, who gave his services free of charge, as did the artists for the concert, Harri Morgan, tenor, and Margaret Coombe, soprano.

This well-attended and supported event raised £1800 which will be given directly to the Ukraine appeal.
