Shoppers will be urged to help tackle the taboo subject of loneliness and social isolation in local communities when colleagues at the Co-op store in Newport Street, Hay-on-Wye, launch The Co-operative’s campaign with the British Red Cross.

The community retailer, which has a store in every postal area, is rolling out a new, two-year campaign, in partnership with British Red Cross designed to confront the issue of loneliness and social isolation in local communities.

At the launch, a representative from the British Red Cross along with colleagues from the Co-op food store together with a colleague from the Co-operative Funeralcare will hold placards to show their support for the campaign.
