Hay Writers’ Circle have launched their new anthology, Pick and Mix, at Booth’s Bookshop in Hay.

Ten members of the Circle contributed to the book, which includes fiction, non-fiction and poetry. All the work has been written during the last two years, some of it has been taken from their readings at the Hay Festival, other pieces have been winners in their three annual competitions, the latter judged by some of their well-published authors including Andrew O’Hagan, Rachel Cooke and Colin McDowell.

Now they await the results of their fiction competition, which is being judged by Piers Wenger who is Head of Drama at Channel 4.
