With the summer heat rising and the show season in full swing, Wales’ dedicated rural mental health and suicide awareness charity, the DPJ Foundation is preparing for its biggest summer ever.

With plans to attend shows, rallies and festivals, the charity will be taking out its #ShareTheLoad message, with the slogan “ItsOKNotToBeOK”.

After a great reception at the Brecknock and Radnor YFC Rallys last month, DPJ Foundation is preparing for another post Covid first, with a presence at #PowysPride in Llandrindod this weekend, led by DPJ Foundation volunteer regional champion, Nikki Jones.

And volunteers and staff from across Wales will team up to have a major presence at next week’s Royal Welsh Show at Llanelwedd.

Another volunteer regional champion, Cllr William Powell of Talgarth commented: “Wherever we go, we find a really positive response - and it’s very rewarding when people share their stories.

“The pressures of rural life are as never before - and DPJ Foundation is there to help ‘share the load.’

“Please call by and say hello at Pride, at The Royal Welsh - or just get in touch, when the time suits, either to offer help - or for a listening ear.”
