Talgarth and Hay-on-Wye both held commemorative events in the past few days to remember fallen soldiers.

In Talgarth, Cllr Andy Lord, Mayor of Talgarth read the names of the fallen, County Cllr William Powell, Chair of Powys County Council shared a reflection at the Talgarth War Memorial, as wreaths were laid by key community figures and local schoolchildren.

Service animals were remembered too with Boris the Pony in attendance with owner Eryn Parry, and Chief steward Shanno Reeves.

In Hay, Cllr James Gibson-Watt read the names of the fallen at St Mary’s Church, and wreaths were laid by key community figures in Castle Square, just outside Hay Castle.
