Talgarth marked VE Day 80 with a series of events in the town.

The town held a street party on Saturday, May 10 in the centre of Talgarth with a sing-along, and traditional party games.

Talgarth Town Council provided light refreshments for each table as residents and visitors were encouraged to bring their own food and drink.

Coordinated by Mayor Louise Elston-Reeves, a poppy fountain was hand crafted at Talgarth Town Hall by many volunteers locally, from Puddle Ducks pre-school at Ysgol Y Mynydd Du, local SSAFA officials, senior residents and Town Council volunteers.

A SSAFA Coffee Morning was held on VE Day at Groessffordd Hall.
