Tickets are selling fast for this year’s Radnorshire Wildlife Trust annual Barnes Memorial Lecture at the Metropole Hotel & Spa, Llandrindod Wells on November 12.
TV Wildlife Presenter Iolo Williams is the cause of this flurry of sales. Born and bred in Mid Wales, Iolo is much loved by wildlife enthusiasts and is often seen on television speaking out for nature and the environment. In recent years, he’s become a regular roving reporter on the BBC’s Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch team. As patron for Radnorshire Wildlife Trust, Iolo is a staunch supporter of the Wildlife Trusts and all money raised from this talk on “Wonderful Welsh Wildlife” will be channelled directly back into the wildlife conservation work carried out by Radnorshire Wildlife Trust.
With tickets selling so well, it is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets beforehand to avoid disappointment on the door. When Iolo last delivered a talk in the Metropole Hotel & Spa in 2009, he attracted a crowd in excess of 170.
The talk will begin at 7.30pm with the grand raffle draw taking place in the interval. Tickets can be purchased from the Radnorshire Wildlife Trust (RWT) shop which can be found in Llandrindod Wells, High Street where a team of volunteers open the doors on a Tuesday and Friday from 10am – 1pm.
