The streets of Llandovery are set to burst into life this Sunday, 25 May 2025, as the Llandovery & District Carnival makes its much-anticipated return after last year.
The vibrant carnival brings together families, neighbours, and visitors for a day of vibrant celebration in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog.
With a theme that promises spectacle and nostalgia, this year’s Carnival invites everyone to step into the world of television with “As Seen On TV” – a joyous nod to the characters, shows, and screen moments that have captured imaginations across generations.

A Parade with Star Power
The event kicks off at 1pm with a dazzling parade departing from Ysgol Rhys Prichard, weaving its way through the town centre. Expect colourful and creative costumes, a live samba band and a joyful atmosphere, as local groups and participants bring their favourite TV icons to life. From superheroes and sitcoms to classics and cartoons, no channel is off limits!

Festivities at Llandovery Rugby Club
The celebrations continue at Llandovery Rugby Club (Church Bank, SA20 0BA), where the carnival field transforms into a lively hub of entertainment for all ages. Attendees can look forward to:
- Funfair rides
- Games and activities Food and drink stalls
- May Queen prize giving
- Stalls from community and non-profit organisations.

Entry is just £5 for adults, with free admission for under-16s, making this a fantastic and affordable day out for families.

“The Carnival is more than just a day of fun, it’s a celebration of everything that makes our community special. It brings people together, sparks creativity, and raises vital funds for local causes.
