DEFENDING champion Sharon Roberts lost her Mid Wales County Golf Association Championship crown over the weekend of May 9-11 after a semi-final exit.
The Cradoc member was playing on home turf in the event, which attracted the best players in Mid Wales, but Roberts was beaten by eventual winner Sara Rees Evans of Penrhos.
Rees Evans eventually beat Builth Wells' Sherrie Edwards, who herself knocked out Aberdovey's Sally Wilkinson in the last four.
