Llandrindod Wells Fairtrade Group held two major events during Fairtrade Fortnight this year, and would like to thank everyone who supported them.
A coffee morning on Friday, March 1 at the St Francis Centre, Holy Trinity Church, was very well attended. Those present were rewarded with a selection of cakes and biscuits, made using Fairtrade ingredients where possible, including Welsh cakes and Bara Brith, to celebrate St David’s Day! A stall selling Fairtrade coffee, tea, sugars, chocolate, dried fruit, biscuits, nuts, cocoa, and Traidcraft cleaning products, was also well supported.
The second event was a Curry & Quiz night at the Herb Garden Café, which was enjoyed by all who attended!
Fairtrade Fortnight was also marked with displays in the library and County Hall, explaining Fairtrade, and the difference it makes to the lives of producers.
