On Friday, November 30, the Dance Centre in Llandrindod Wells officially reopened to the public following extensive renovations.
The building on Arlais Road will now be home to three local charities: Mid & North Powys Mind, Impelo, and Breathe Studio. Mid & North Powys Mind is already operating from the site, while Impelo and Breathe Studio are set to open in the new year.
More than 60 guests attended the reopening event, with Cllr Jake Berriman, Leader of Powys County Council, formally opening the building.

It was a busy and engaging afternoon, which also featured Mid & North Powys Mind’s Annual General Meeting, a presentation on the charity’s activities over the past 12 months, and a yoga taster session with Breathe Studio, highlighting the building’s new role as a hub for community wellbeing.
Cat Nunn, Chair of Mid & North Powys Mind said: “It was both exciting and deeply moving to be able to introduce people to our new building in Arlais Road, right in the heart of Llandrindod. To know it will provide a welcoming and 'fit for purpose' space to support people’s mental health for many years to come is really a testament to our staff, volunteers and the faith our funders have in our services.
“Working alongside our statutory partners, we hope to improve people's lives in mid and north Powys with our wide range of services and continue to reach into our communities to give people what they need to support their mental health and wellbeing.”

The renovations were supported by the Transforming Towns programme in Powys, a Welsh Government-funded initiative delivered in partnership with Powys County Council, alongside funding from the Community Facilities Programme and the Arts Council of Wales.
Mid & North Powys Mind previously operated from its former Crescent Chambers site in the town.
